First off, yes we are duping Shop My. They are a big part of our inspiration and our goal is to expand the industry they helped develop, affiliate marketing for influencers, into Travel.
Now, to the good stuff! The best-kept secret of the travel world is that there are incentive structures in place that help huge companies like Amex and Expedia make a fortune form their customers booking on their platforms. But they gatekeep this information to protect their earnings.
We’ve built TravelMy using the infrastructure and relationships that these huge corporations have spent decades building. But thanks to some research and some fancy software development, we cut out these huge corporations and tapped directly into this incentive infrastructure they’ve built with tens of thousands of hotels across the planet. So when your followers book through TravelMy 100% of the affiliate payments from all hotels go directly into the platform.
But listen, full disclosure, we’re no charity, we’ll take a small cut, but the majority goes back to you!
Who we are I am
My name’s Liam and I’m the founder and only employee of TravelMy. In my day job, I work at an AI startup in San Francisco, and I’m also an incoming student at Harvard Business School.
A lot of startups try to trick you into thinking they’re already some well-oiled, fully functioning company. I think that’s dumb, I’m just a guy with what I think is a good idea. Right now, I’ve built the finance side of the product, aka just enough to get commission from pretty much every hotel or luxury property. Before I keep building, though, I want to find a partner on the Influencer side and work together to figure out what you need so we can build something that’s genuinely excellent.
